When I first heard about the benefits of meditation I was really intrigued and interested in practicing meditation. However I wasn't sure how to fit it into my busy schedule. I'm Too Busy

We all live busy lives, I have been busy myself moving into a new apartment but with proper scheduling and organization fitting in some meditation is very possible.

Take for example, when you FIRST wake up in the morning what do you do? For me I used to check my phone for missed notifications while I was asleep. However checking you phone when you first wake up is actually "bad" for you.

According to Tristan Harris, who used to work for Google, checking your phone first when you wake up is damaging to your morning routine. Tristan claims this further perpetuates FOMO (fear of missing out)

Instead of turning to your phone when you wake up, try 5 minute meditation morning instead!

Daily Routine Of Successful People

Some high profile entrepreneurs who meditate are Arianna Huffington, Rupert Murdoch and Oprah Winfrey to name a few. Oprah specifically meditates in first thing in the morning and before she goes to bed. She is not checking her phone when she wakes up.

Emulating successful people is always a good idea (they are successful for a reason!). Oprah meditates for 20 minutes in the morning, however most of us don't have time for that!

To combat this you can meditate effectively for under 20 minutes. You can even meditate in under 10 minutes! Actually you can meditate in as little as 5 minutes. Ditch checking your emails and texts when you wake up for meditating!

We now know that checking your phone first thing in the morning is bad and that successful entrepreneurs like Oprah meditate.
