Unlocking the Art of Connection: How to Be a Better Girlfriend Through Honesty and Vulnerability

4.

So, let's break it down – the difference between honesty and vulnerability is like sipping on your favorite tea and diving into a warm bubble bath.

Here's the Honest-tea: Honesty is all about speaking the truth, laying it out on the table like a spread of your favorite desserts. You say it like it is, no sugar-coating, just the raw, unfiltered truth.

Now, imagine soaking in that bubble bath: Vulnerability, my dear, is about opening up in a way that leaves you a bit exposed. It's like sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings, knowing that it might make you feel a tad uncomfortable. There's a risk – you might get disappointed, let down, judged, or hurt. But, oh, the beauty lies in that openness.

Now, here's a little mantra for you: If something's not sitting right in your heart at any given moment, spill the tea of honesty, own it, and let it flow. Tell it like you're pouring your heart out in your favorite diary. Because, love, your feelings are valid, and expressing them is like adding a sprinkle of authenticity to your beautiful self.

So, don't be afraid to own your truth and let it shine!

How to Be a Better Girlfriend: Embracing Authenticity – Be Direct About Your Feelings

5. Communication: The Heart of the Relationship

Sweet soul, let's talk about the silent treatment – a game that many play, but why, oh why?

Save your energy, darling, and let's cut to the chase.

Be direct, be courageous, and brave the path of your emotions.

Feeling a storm brewing inside? Don't let it linger like a persistent cloud.

Talk it out, my dear.

Dive into those emotions, figure out the puzzle,  heal, and let the sunlight in. Who needs to carry around all that negativity anyway?

Now, here's the golden ticket to staying positive, happy, and healthy – direct communication.

Be open, be respectful, and let your feelings flow. Imagine a river of emotions, and you're navigating it with a graceful dance.

Oh, and a little secret to being a stellar girlfriend? Honor his opinions.

It's like a dance floor – everyone's got their moves, and respecting that adds a touch of harmony.

So, be the conductor of your emotions, and let the symphony of communication play on!

And on rare occasions you feel a little clingy? I've got an article and video for you on that here.

Communication is the bridge between two hearts.

It's about creating a sanctuary where words flow like a gentle stream, carrying thoughts, dreams, and sometimes, unspoken fears. Listen to his words, but also to the silence between them. It's in this quietude that you'll find the deepest emotions waiting to be heard.

And when you speak, let your words be laced with honesty and kindness, weaving a tapestry of trust and understanding. Remember, good communication is a melody composed by two hearts in harmony, each note resonating with love and empathy.

Navigating Love's Dance: Mastering the Art of "How to Be a Better Girlfriend" – Response vs. Reaction

6. Response vs. Reaction

When those triggers hit, whether it's your boyfriend or a friend causing a ruckus in your emotions, resist the urge to let out a scream that could wake the neighbors.

Instead, hit the pause button, take a moment to collect yourself, and refrain from unleashing a reaction that could send shockwaves through everyone around.

Inhale, exhale – let's turn that chaos into calm. Now, when life throws you a curveball and emotions are swirling like a storm, resist the temptation to spill it all over unsuspecting souls.

Own your emotional weather, take charge of your energy. Try meditation (here are some of mine).

Sort out your emotional landscape before involving others. Once you've weathered the storm within, approach your boyfriend with nothing but pure, unfiltered honesty.

Skip the dramatics, lay it all out openly, and engage in direct communication. It's about resolving the issue straightforwardly, creating a clear path to understanding.

So, take a deep breath, find your center, and handle it with honesty and grace.

Feel the magic of unity as you face life's adventures hand in hand, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.

Now, toss away the notion of right or wrong, and embrace the beauty of where you can find common ground - Cocreation - a topic I love supporting the people I work with.

In this journey, the crucial part is that you're both moving individually, and in parallel, navigating the twists and turns and coming back together.

How To Not Be A Clingy Girlfriend

How To Not Be A Clingy Girlfriend

Get rid of your Clingyness and access your inner security!

Clinginess, well, it's a tricky tango. You adore your partner, striving to be a better girlfriend, yet hormones can lead to that vulnerability.

Suddenly, you find yourself eagerly awaiting attention, more than you'd care to confess! ?

Let's chat about clinginess – relying on someone for specific emotions.

Whether that is love, happiness, positivity, or any of the emotions that you want to feel or just making you feel wanted - it's a delicate dance/

Often times when I notice that I am starting to put more attention on someone and wanting their attention more, I ask myself: What feeling am I feeling and desiring?

When it comes down to it..

Being clingy isn't inherently good or bad. While there might be a negative aspect, we can delve into the roots, heal, and get rid of that feeling forever.

Here are 10 must-dos on how to gracefully avoid clinginess. Because why go there when you can navigate it with grace?

One of the easiest ways to explore the 10 steps that work is by watching this video to

Recognize that you are clingy and own it

The first step is, when you're attaching yourself to someone else, needing that person's attention or when you are starting to feel clingy or feel desperate, own it by recognizing it.

Because if you don't own it then you're just gonna start spewing these crawlers to get more attention. You're trying to hide behind this mask of not feeling it, and it just all goes out of hand then you don't know when to stop.

Clinginess, like a shadow, can creep into relationships, dimming the vibrant colors of love.

It's often a dance of insecurities, where fear takes the lead.

Picture clinginess as a sign, not of love, but of a heart yearning for reassurance and validation. Recognizing the signs is the first step to transforming your relationship into a canvas of trust and independence.

It's about embracing your worth, understanding that you're a whole universe in yourself, not just a star in someone else's sky.

Let's explore this path, lined with insights, where each step takes you closer to a relationship illuminated with trust, respect, and genuine connection.

Unlock Emotional Freedom: How to Not Be Clingy by Expertly Unpacking the Layers of Your Feelings and Desires

Unpack that clinginess

Let's dive into the second step – once you've acknowledged that clingy feeling, it's time to unpack it.

Picture a big line down the middle of a piece of paper. In one column, jot down everything you don't like about this behavior.

Be honest about the parts of yourself that are giving you a hard time. Let's shine a light on those shadows, shall we?

Write down the exact opposite of what you want

Thirdly, write down the exact opposite of what you want and understand that if you don't do this, you're gonna be stuck in the negative.

For example: I desire to feel secure, worthy and loved (on my own!)

Right now we want to transform the negative ideas to understand what we actually want.

Instead of focusing on what you don't want, realize that on the opposite side of that there's something that you do actually want.

Telling yourself what you actually want will shift you from that negative vibration thought pattern into that positive vibration, or allow you to see that there's another flip side of the coin.

This simple act shifts you from a negative thought pattern to a positive one, breaking free from the clingy cycle's limiting beliefs.

You've got this, love!

How Not to be Clingy | yoloabundance.com

Focusing on what you love about this person

Fourth, if you're clingy towards someone, instead of asking them or manipulating them in order for them to give you more attention, love or any of what you want, start appreciating them for who they are.

Remember a time where you got the attention or feeling from the person, you can start creating memories and work with your memories remind yourself the good feelings.

For example, sometimes after meeting someone or having an incredible week or time with someone, I often find myself wanting to text them non-stop to keep drawing upon that dopamine or oxytocin hit!

Instead of doing that mindlessly, I take the opportunity to express what is at the bottom of my desire: Grattitude for the time we spent together!

What it does is that instead of making that person feel trapped and being bombarded by this person that's clinging on to them, they start feeling like they are just being appreciated by that person.

Find out what it is that you actually need to heal to get to that shift naturally with private coaching!

It's more attractive for them to be interested and more likely to respond positively to you.

Focus on what you love | yoloabundance.com

Communicate clearly what you want

Five, most of the time when you are clingy, you find all kinds of ways to manipulate the situation by turning it to your favor so that you can get what you want.

Communicate clearly what you want, owning who you are and also appreciating them.

Before doing that, it might be useful to do some meditations to reach a place of peace instead of desperation.

Identify what are the actual biggest fear that you have and why are you clinging.

What is the biggest fear that you're having right now, is it that person's gonna run away? You're going to lose them?

Is it that you're afraid that the anxiety of them not being around or responding would eat you alive?

There are no wrong answers here, pure open curiosity!

Or what's your biggest fear?

Look into what's at the root of your cling, because there's a lot of information there (even if they may seem dark) and instead of looking from outside for emotional support, look inside and see how you can support yourself and be dependent on yourself for emotional support in this situation.

Explore your deepest fears, for there lies a wealth of information. Instead of seeking external emotional support, turn inward. Be your own pillar of strength in this situation. I find immense joy in helping people uncover the root causes of their patterns.

We've crafted a method to clear over 200 blocks—tried, tested, and true.

Identify the insecurities 'within you'

Identify what are the biggest fear that you have and why are you clinging. Look into those elements because there's a gem in there that when you decode what truly makes you feel desperate or needy, you can provide that assurance from yourself!

And if you need to find a way to dettach emotionally, check this article out.

Unlock Emotional Freedom: How to Not Be Clingy by Fearlessly Exploring the Worst-Case Scenario and Transforming Your Relationship Dynamics!

Explore what’s the worst-case scenario

Six, let's delve into the heart of it all. Identify those fears, the ones that make you hold on a bit too tightly.

Unravel the threads of insecurity – what's the root cause?

What are you seeking from your partner?

Are you afraid he'd leave you? Are you afraid she'd leave you? What if they did? What would happen then?

And then after that?

And then after that?

Any addictions in the mix?

Now, here's the magic – how can you make those feelings feel safe?

It's a beautiful journey of self-assurance and self-care.

In doing so, you'll find yourself empowered and well-cared for.

Show up with your partner from a place of fullness, not lack.

Mastering Emotional Independence: How to Not Be Clingy by Asking the Right Questions and Unveiling the Roots of Your Feelings

Ask questions

Seven, ask questions and come from a place of curiosity. If you are able to communicate open and clearly to your person that you feel vulnerable, it creates more intimacy.

Instead of feeling shame or uncomfortable with the neediness that you feel, someone who cares about you will hold space for you to be honest.

But, if that touch of unease lingers, consider visiting this page for a moment of meditation. Let it be a gentle guide to bring more inner peace before broaching the topic. Remember, it's okay to seek tranquility within.

And always, my love, feel empowered to ask for a non-judgmental space, creating an oasis of safety for your authentic self.

Should expectations or past hurts cast shadows, seek support. Assess if they're real, if healing or transformation is possible, or if it's time to release that fear. Embrace the journey of self-discovery and growth.

Understanding that intimacy is all about openness and communication

Eight, open communication, transparent connection and the ability to be vulnerable and supporting each other through these emotional ups and downs of life is so precious!

If you are able to do that with your person, then they're a keeper!

Because the best thing is that you can move on from this and grow from it and no longer be a clingy person and gain the confidence to truly shine and be secure! (If you want help, I can help you!)

How to Stop Being Jealous \ yoloabundance.com

How to Stop Being Jealous

Effective Ways on How to Stop Being Jealous

Jealousy is a topic that is plaguing our attention and daily lives if it's not taken care of. No matter where you are in your life, there are chances that you are always in a situation where some emotional jealousy is not what you desire.

Yet jealousy has a personality of actually coming into your life overtaking your attention and not allowing you to be the person that you want to be.

How to stop being jealous Secrets | yoloabundance.com

#1 Be incredibly honest and aware

The number one mistake that people make is that when they are actually jealous, they deny that jealousy. And they think that they are too good to be jealous.

So if you're in a situation like that and you are actually jealous, please acknowledge your jealousy. Be honest with yourself and have an awareness that jealousy is what you're feeling and  that it's totally fine.

Related articles you might like

#2 Identify where in your body jealousy feels

Accept yourself and identify where in your body jealousy feels. Jealousy is an emotion that is very physical and very heavy. It can be in the form of coming into your mind all the time, but it can also allow you to feel a lot in your chest as well.

But some people are different, so identifying where the emotion is in your body allows you to draw attention to the physical effects of emotion, and therefore allowing you to tune in from a physical perspective.

Because emotions actually are quite physical when it comes to strong emotions.

#3 Breathe into Jealousy

When you're using your breath and directing it into an area of congestion, restriction, small or non contraction which is a negative emotion, then you're going to be able to really move that energy through.

What happens when you have negative emotions is that it creates a place of stuckness and congestion in your body. And you want to be able to use your consciousness and your awareness to direct your breath to it, to heal it and allow that to process and be released from your body.

If you hold on to jealousy, you're always gonna be thinking about it and it's gonna control you but you won't control it - so just breathe into it!

#4 Jot down all of the thoughts that are flying through your head

If your head is bombarded by thoughts that are unproductive and destructive, you want to be able to jot them down so they can take it out of your head and onto a piece of paper.

You may also feel ceremonial and want to burn that paper as a symbol of getting rid of those thoughts. But, it's really important for you to acknowledge those thoughts because you can't just push them away or ignore them for not being valid.

Thoughts are your thoughts that came from your brain and you got to respect them. The way that you can do that is by taking them out, looking at them and doing something with them.

#5 Understand your own capabilities and values

Oftentimes when jealousy comes into play, you feel that you are at a lower position than the person who you're jealous of or the person who has this thing that you don't have. But if you are able to own your value and capabilities and be confident and secure in yourself without judgment, it will allow you to take this whole experience and turn it into a learning experience.

Stop being jealous quote | yoloabundance.com

In Carol Dweck's mindset book called “Mindset” there are two types of mindset, one is a “fixed mindset” in which you are stubborn and you think of things only in one direction.

And the other mindset is called the “growth mindset”, where someone is always taking things as learning experiences.

#6 Know what is it that you actually want

This is about how you would rather feel. So if you don't want to feel jealous, what is the opposite for you?

Do you want to feel free and unbothered? Do you want to feel confident in yourself? Do you want to feel free of self judgment do you want to feel secure? What is it that you actually want?

Divert the attention from the negativity of what you actually are consumed by, and turn it into the place of what you actually want.

#7 Imagine your ideal self dealing with a situation

If you aren't able to access this feeling of positivity, or even strengthen them for how to deal with the situation, then bring an ideal version of yourself into your perspective.

You can either invite it or even visualize it to see how your ideal self will deal with the situation. Then you will be able to download that information and insight and see if you can create that right now, because that is a sign of growth as well.

#8 Remind yourself of your ideal self

Always remember that you have access to a version of yourself that does not have to succumb to negativity.

If you are able to hold on to that thin string of hope and allow yourself to remind yourself all the time, come from the perspective of your ideal self or the person who you want to become. Because that person is someone who will attract a lot of opportunities, be your ideal self so that you can attract your ideal situations in life.

#9 Laugh, smile and just be happy

Happiness fills the void within. Happiness can distract you and be able to fill you up with positivity and allow you to think of many different ways in which you can feel better. That's the purpose of getting rid of jealousy -  so smile and find reasons to be happy!

#10 Fill yourself with love

Be filled with self love, self compassion and self forgiveness as well. Just because you are jealous does not mean that it's gonna last forever. It also doesn't mean that you're alone, but you are responsible to fill yourself up with love.

Make sure to be clear about what makes you feel loved, and then go do it and get it.

Get it in a way that it's not relying on another person, but it's something that you can provide for yourself.
