What Does Law of Attraction Actually MEAN?

The definition of law of attraction is “the attractive, magnetic power of the Universe that draws similar energies together. It manifests through the power of creation, everywhere and in many ways.”

Essentially what that means is we use our thoughts and energy to focus on a thought and turn that thought into a reality. Sounds crazy but this when you think about it and break it down it makes sense. It's like speaking something into reality.

Understanding the Law of Attraction

While researching for this blog post I wanted to know what others thought on this topic and I must say opinions on Law of Attraction vary greatly.

When i searched “is law of attraction real” to gauge the sense of what the internet think I got a wide range of answers. Some people are so against the idea while others seem to accept it as truth. Most people who are against the idea give this as an example of why the Law of Attraction is flawed.

If I just sit around all day and think of a Rolls Royce according to Law of attraction, in their minds, one will just show up in my driveway.

As much as I would love for that to happen I know it won't. However, I think that way of thinking isn’t exactly what the Law of Attraction is. I will give a personal example, I am currently a digital marketing intern and I really want a career in digital marketing either as a social media manager or a content marketer.

Obviously, if I just sit around all day and do nothing, nothing in my life will change. However if I wake up every day and tell myself I WILL get a job in digital marketing, while putting in the work and believing in myself I will.

I go to networking events and meet people in my field who I want to emulate learn from them as much as I can.

I am putting all my focus and energy into digital marketing to make my dreams come true.

I am manifesting my thoughts into reality on the daily. To me, this is what law of attraction is not simply just thinking about things hoping they appear. Its putting FOCUS and DETERMINATION into whatever your dreams are and manifesting it into reality.

The Secret- Law of Attraction

Through my research, I discovered that the concept of the Law of Attraction entered the mainstream lexicon because of a book entitled “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. According to the book's website.

“The Secret explains with simplicity the law that is governing all lives and offers the knowledge of how to create – intentionally and effortlessly – a joyful life.”

An example of the Law of Attraction, in this case, would be physical health. If you put out negative energy and feel stressed you will get sick.

As we know through previous blog posts, stress and anxiety are bad for your health. Happiness and inner peace can heal the body and help prevent sickness. When you emit positive energy and you will attract joy and health!

You are putting your FOCUS and ENERGY into a thought and turning it into a reality, you are not just doing nothing I can not stress this enough.

Law of Attraction Meditation

Now we understand what law of attraction is, how do we focus energy to turn our desires into reality. Well, a great way to do this is with meditation. Law of attraction meditation is a great way to focus our energy into a singular thought or topic.

Remember we meditate to reach a heightened spiritual awareness and it is through this awareness that we are able to focus our energy.

Remember Law of Attraction will not work if you don't do anything to make it work. You won't make money by thinking positive thoughts, thinking about money. We have to FOCUS our energy to our goal.

If I am stressed and anxious I am not focusing on my goal and thus will not achieve it. Meditation is a critical aide in making our thoughts into a reality.
