Positive Meditation

When life gets you down it's important to stay positive. In today's blog we will be discussing the importance a positive mindset can have and we will be showing a positive meditation for you to practice along with. 

What is Positive Thinking

When most people think of positive thinking they probably assume it means never feeling sad or ignoring negative thoughts. That couldn't be farther from the truth.

What positive thinking actually means is "approaching life's challenges with a positive outlook." So its not ignoring problems at all. Its acknowledging your problems and viewing them with a positive attitude!

Lets say you just got a new job and you are nervous about messing up or letting your co workers down. You could view getting a new job as that or look at it through the lens of, a new opportunity to grow and learn new skills/ meet new people. 

Having a positive outlook can be very powerful. To practice having a positive mindset try some positive meditations.

Effects of Positive Thinking

In a report by the Mayo Clinic they claim positive thinking can lead to: 

  • Increased life span
  • Lower rates of depression
  • Lower levels of distress
  • Greater resistance to the common cold
  • Better psychological and physical well-being
  • Better cardiovascular health and reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease
  • Better coping skills during hardships and times of stress 
  • These health benefits all come with positive thinking and how you can become a positive thinker is with positive meditation. 

    After you meditate try to say something nice about your self, this will help you stay positive with your thinking.  As the Mayo Clinic puts it  "Don't say anything to yourself that you wouldn't say to anyone else. Be gentle and encouraging with yourself.

    If a negative thought enters your mind, evaluate it rationally and respond with affirmations of what is good about you."


Positive Meditation

You know what positive thinking is and you know its benefits. So now its time to talk about how to become more positive. 

Well like i've been saying throughout this entire blog the answer is simple, its meditation!

Meditation has many benefits for health and spirituality.

So its logical that meditation can help you feel more positive and help turn your negative thoughts into positive ones.
